A temple is located on the path from Tsuchihoishigawa river to Kizakiyama mountain. In the garden within the temple stands a variety of trees including Cherry trees, Maple trees and Ginkgo trees. It is strikingly beautiful to see over 10,000 Azalea blooming all together. Kizakiyama mountain adjacent to Kizan mountain and Ohboshiyama mountain in Hirao-cho town, are popular sites for hiking and driving.

Heigun-to Island Iya Beach
Why don’t you visit this beautiful bathing beach located in the eastern part of Heigun-to Island? Iya-mishima (three consecutive small islands) next to the beach is one of the three greatest views of this island. People can walk to the tip of the cape at low tide.
There is a ranch nearby and you can see cows grazing peacefully.

Obatake Fureai Beach
This is an artificial bathing beach, 160 meters long, and very popular among people in Yanai. You can enjoy the stunning view of the Oshima Long Bridge and Yashiro Oshima Island. The beach is easily accessible from Route 188.
During the Niwaka Festival from September to October, a famous portable shrine is carried into the sea from this beach.

Hizumi Camp Site (at Otarashi-hime Hachimangu Shrine)
Hizumi Camp Site is located next to the parking lot of Otarashi-hime Hachimangu Shrine in Hizumi Ozato. People can enjoy camping in a relaxing atmosphere at this quiet camp site surrounded by mountains and forests. Twinkling stars can be clearly seen between the trees. You will be amazed by the beauty of starlight in such a complete dark night with no artificial lighting system around you.
Every August, this Shrine is a main venue of Hizumi Hassaku O-odori, the biggest Bon festival dance of the city.

HEIGUN-TO ISLAND
A slim island stretching from the East to West in the sea of Iyo, 20 km off the south coast of Yanai City.
With many fishing points, this island is popular among fishing fans.
Among various specialty products, such as octopus and tangerines, its best-seller is shochu (distilled liquor) made of a kind of sweet potatoes that are only produced on this island.

Aderie Hoshi Park Aqua Hill Yanai
This multi-purpose park is located on a hillside and offers a full view of Yanai to visitors.
【Aderie Hoshi Park】
Both adults and children can enjoy outdoor activities all day long as this park has various facilities such as tennis courts, a walking trail, a jogging track, a multi-purpose grass field, and a fun slide. It is also a great training course at night as the park is open and lit up until 10 PM.
【Aqua Hill Yanai】
