HEIGUN-TO ISLAND
A slim island stretching from the East to West in the sea of Iyo, 20 km off the south coast of Yanai City.
With many fishing points, this island is popular among fishing fans.
Among various specialty products, such as octopus and tangerines, its best-seller is shochu (distilled liquor) made of a kind of sweet potatoes that are only produced on this island.
Enjoy the warm weather of Heigun Islan during a relaxing day of perfect hideaway, looking out at the balmy sea while meeting laid-back locals.
What to see in Heigun Island
Old-fashioned picturesque towns,
flowers and plants in the mountain paths,
surrounded by emerald green sea –
